Mr. Lonesome has perfected his creation, this sub-genre of scary country music.

Here is a musical moving picture presentation of the first song from Ghost Ballads entitled “The Golden Rule.” It’s a fine and bloody tale of revenge from beyond the grave.

I’m awfully fond of this one, and I hope a few of you glum chums will enjoy it too. Come on over and have a look and a listen. Spook on.
Your guide to the spirit world,
Lonesome Wyatt
There is an uneasy tension throughout the record as if there is no hope in hell of the stars aligning for these two to be together. Sad and bitter music.
It is with great honor and pride that I am able to present to you my chat with the creator of “strange, sad music from a time that never was”, the one and only LONESOME WYATT of Those Poor Bastards and Lonesome Wyatt and The Holy Spooks. Mercy!
We are very pleased and frightened to announce the upcoming release of the new Holy Spooks album “Ghost Ballads.” It was covertly recorded at the deserted, decrepit and allegedly haunted Maribel Caves Hotel (otherwise known as Hotel Hell) in Maribel, WI. Lonesome Wyatt serves as the spiritual medium for these thirteen strange tales of death, longing and revenge from beyond the grave.
The album will be released on March 6, 2013 on vinyl, CD, cassette and digital download. Pre-order info will be announced soon!
Spook on.
Your pal,
Lonesome Wyatt
There is a Those Poor Bastards’ interview/article about “Behold The Abyss,” and “The Terrible Tale of Edgar Switchblade,” in the November issue of Rue Morgue Magazine.
What oozed out is baroque, gory, and gloriously weird.
